What it is

TellHawk Terminal, explained.

TellHawk Terminal is a web-based research terminal. It collects the public record on a company (SEC filings, insider Form 4 trades, 13F fund holdings, short-interest reports, macro releases and news) and puts it on one screen, with each block labelled with its source and the date it describes.

Alongside the research tools sits the Strategy Lab, where you can test an idea against years of history after costs. The Terminal does not place orders or connect to a brokerage; that is what TellHawk Trader is for.

Who it is for

Investors who read primary sources

You want to see the filing behind the headline: who sold, which funds added, what the company just told the SEC.

Analysts who hand work to others

Ticker, sector, country and rates reports can be exported (CSV, PDF, HTML) with their sources attached.

Rule builders

You have an idea and want to know if it survives costs and years it was never tuned on, before any money is involved.

Key features

What it does today.

Morning Brief: market posture on one screen

Start the day with volatility, the yield curve, credit conditions and how speculators are positioned in futures, each with its official source and the date it describes.

  • Futures positioning from weekly CFTC reports
  • Every block is dated; nothing is presented as live when it is not
  • Free on every plan
The TellHawk morning brief showing market posture, volatility, yield curve, credit conditions and futures positioning

Ticker Report: one company, every block sourced

Price and 52-week range, momentum, insider activity, institutional holders, short interest, fundamentals and news for a single ticker, laid out as blocks you can read in order.

  • Core sections are free; full reports are part of Pro
  • Reports export to CSV, PDF or HTML (Free exports are a 25-row preview)
  • Each block shows where its data came from

News with what the market did next

Filings, press releases, headlines and official releases in one filterable feed, with counts by source, the tone split, and how the stock moved afterwards.

  • SEC 8-Ks, press releases, third-party news headlines and official releases
  • Reactions measured against the index, so a market-wide move is not mistaken for a company one
The TellHawk news screen with counts by source, tone split and a filterable feed

ETF Overlap: how concentrated is the basket?

Pick several ETFs and see which holdings they share and how large the combined weight is, built from the funds' own SEC N-PORT filings.

  • Flags concentration risk across the funds you hold
  • Part of Pro
